SimpleumSafe – Product Fact Sheet ================================= Overview -------- SimpleumSafe is an encrypted file manager and document archive for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It helps people organize confidential documents, files, scans, photos, and videos in locally stored safes and, when desired, synchronize encrypted changes between Apple devices. Who is SimpleumSafe for? ------------------------ - Individuals who want to keep important documents and sensitive files protected and organized - Self-employed professionals and organizations that need to protect and retain access to confidential work documents on Apple devices - People who want to control their data without a mandatory SimpleumSafe account or cloud dependency Core capabilities ----------------- - Store files and folders encrypted in one or more safes - Organize documents with folders, subfolders, tags, favorites, and comments - View files in SimpleumSafe or hand them to selected apps for editing - Import files from Mail, Photos, Finder, the share sheet, or the print dialog - Scan documents and capture photos or videos directly into a safe - Deliberately export files or share them with other apps - Synchronize encrypted changes through iCloud, directly between devices, or through a shared folder between Macs - Review data integrity, backups, app version, and recovery key status in the Security Center Security and user control ------------------------- - AES-256 protects file contents, databases, file names, and other file information inside a safe. - The safe password is not stored in the safe. Simpleum Media cannot retrieve or reset a forgotten password. - An optional recovery key can provide a separate second route back into a safe. - Face ID and Touch ID are supported on compatible devices; optional two-factor authentication is also available on Mac. - Synchronization data remains encrypted. Simpleum Media does not operate a proprietary synchronization server for the available synchronization paths. - SimpleumSafe does not require an app account, does not create advertising profiles, and does not use user tracking. Important protection boundaries ------------------------------- Exporting or sharing creates a decrypted copy at the selected destination, outside the protection of the safe. An authorized editing app can also read provided content and may create its own copies or caches. Synchronization carries changes and deletions as well, so it does not replace a separate, tested backup.
