Remote login to your Mac should be disabled
Remote login is only for very experienced users and is realized by a ssh / sftp server. These services have to be configured with care. If you are not an administrator you should not have these services activated.
How to fix it
macOS 13 - 14
- Open “System Preferences”
- Go to “General” > “Sharing”
- Disable “Remote Login”
macOS 10.11 – 12
- Go to “System Preferences” > “Sharing”
- Disable “Remote Login”
