macOS Monterey new password for sparsebundle - SimpleumSafe 2

After upgrading to macOS Monterey some users get an error message on startup and are requested to enter a new password for worksparse.sparsebundle.

To fix this, please take the following steps:

  1. Quit SimpleumSafe
  2. Please update SimpleumSafe at least to version 2.9.5
  3. Start the “Keychain Management” program
  4. Search for worksparse.sparsebundle
  5. Delete all entries found
  6. Start SimpleumSafe. Now a query appears again, which you have to confirm with your Mac’s system password.
