Take photos and videos directly into a Safe on iPhone or iPad
Yes. Open a Safe, choose Add > Take Photo or Add > Record Video, and complete the system camera flow. SimpleumSafe imports the accepted result into the current Safe without intentionally adding a separate copy to the Photos library.
Take a photo or record a video
- Unlock the destination Safe and open the folder where the media should be stored.
- Tap the plus button.
- Choose Take Photo or Record Video. Older app versions can show Capture Movie instead.
- Allow camera access when iOS asks. Video recording can also require microphone access.
- Capture the photo or video, review it in the system camera, then accept it.
- Wait until the new item appears in the Safe. Open it once to verify the import, then rename or organize it as needed.
Security and functional limits
- The stored copy in the Safe is encrypted. The system camera and import pipeline must still hold usable image or video data in memory and, for video, a temporary system file before the import completes.
- Direct capture avoids intentionally creating a Photos-library item. It does not delete an earlier Photos copy, a later export, a screenshot, a shared copy, or artifacts created outside SimpleumSafe.
- Camera and microphone permissions are controlled under Settings > Privacy & Security. If access is denied, change it there and try again.
- Confirm the item appears and opens in the Safe before relying on the capture. Keep an independent backup of the Safe; synchronization alone is not a backup.
- Anyone who can use the unlocked device and open Safe can access the item. Lock the Safe and device when unattended.
